In every illustrator’s working life there should be a nursery rhyme book, a numbers book, a colour book and an alphabet book. At least one of each. This is my One to Ten. Slightly anarchic in a different way to Dr Seuss, hopefully very beautiful, with the possibility of play never far away and the chance to use the book to learn about adding numbers together. I am trying to make each page the catalyst for its own story.
Two dogs, two balls; one big, one small.
My hope is to make numbers beautiful. Because they are.
One cherry, one cheetah.
Ten cherries, one cheetah.
