Cover to Cover in The Mumbles in Swansea are taking care of a dragon for a while. She is watching over the children of the local primary school as they go to and from home to school and helping them to choose books to take home to read.

From the window she has a view of the bright sea.

Carefully dressed with glittering lights she waits for stars with wishes, and also for the children to find her a name. So if you wish to take a wish, a star or a name to The mumbles you may find that there is a dragon waiting for you. And she loves it when people tell her secrets and stories.

Wonder where she will go to next? Another bookshop window? A library? A hospital? A cafe? Or a home?

About Jackie

I am an artist and writer. I live in a small house by the sea in Wales where I write, paint, walk and watch and dream of bears and whales. I love to read, have a wish for wings and prefer the company of animals to that of humans, though at times I can be quite friendly. I am learning how to work with wood engraving tools and hoping to show that you can teach an old dog new tricks.
