Hrafen’s Ey

As I couldn’t give everyone a book for International Book Giving Day I thought I would read a story, written some time ago, set on Ramsey Island.

It’s really only bones of a story, wrapped around the sleeping king, Arthur. So, sitting by the fire I read this. Listen if you wish and share.

I have visited the ravens at the Tower of London. One of them, called Merlin, came from the other side of PenBeri from me. Who knows, maybe she flew there from Ramsey.

About Jackie

I am an artist and writer. I live in a small house by the sea in Wales where I write, paint, walk and watch and dream of bears and whales. I love to read, have a wish for wings and prefer the company of animals to that of humans, though at times I can be quite friendly. I am learning how to work with wood engraving tools and hoping to show that you can teach an old dog new tricks.

Thank you Jackie. I’ve shared it on Facebook and also with a corvid-loving friend. And as I type this, a crow sits, trilling, in a palm outside my window. Soft, warbling sounds, with a mandible rattle to end. Then he starts again…
