At the beginning of this working week I seem to find myself in a house with five cats, three of them miniature leopards,
one old dog who is getting a little forgetful and now a Fillyjonk. Oh my. I hope she does not turn out to be a beautiful disaster.
After a short walk at the beautiful beach where the light was all bright and the wind playing with waves and a line of birds strung out like curious beads across the sea we came home.
I introduced her to the neighbour’s ducks, who seemed to find her very amusing.
And now she is trying so hard to settle down and relax. It’s a hard life being a Fillyjonk, especially when your sister is an Eelhound.
Now, time for someone to go to work.
I guess that will be me then.
Because the cats, who told me they were going to earn their catfood by working on a new book and calendar seem to be taking it easy.
What a charming little soul to add to your studio crew! She appears to have settled right in. I’ve never heard of this breed, but I can see why you’ve chosen her. Such wise eyes!
Fillyjonks and Eelhounds can often be discovered in the same litter. They are sometimes sisters, always naughtier than they appear.
She is charming, Jackie.
Her eyes are soft and soulful
And she looks like she’s settled
in nicely…
How adorable! Good to see she’s settling in.
Oh you do so have to be careful with Fillyjonks; they do so like order and are perpetually neat. I do hope she settles well (she is absolutely beautiful).
Your Fillyjonks reminds me of Macha, the hound who lives with Rima Staines and her partner on Dartmoor. Macha has some very unique eyes.

Trouble in a fur coat, who’d be without them. Good luck and many, many happy walks!
