Needs gold and butterflies.

New inky cat on the board. The kittens and I have been working together again. So hard to work with such beautiful mischief around, so the best way to work when there is something you cannot keep your eyes off is to paint it.

This is the third in a series.

It is unfinished, needs gold, and butterflies. It will be auctioned to raise money for The Snow Leopard Trust.  ( Genji in particular is a cat so like a snow leopard and this is mostly why I fell in love with Snow Bengals as a breed. The Snow Leopard Trust work with respect for both the people and animals who share the high mountains. Check out their website for wonderful films of snow leopards and much much more.)

The auction works like this: Email bids to me. The reserve is £250. 2 days  after the last bid comes in the hammer comes down. I will email all those who are bidding just to let them know. Money is paid direct to the Snow Leopard Trust and I send the painting to the highest bidder.

The kittens helped to begin, walking in the ink, sitting on the painting, posing and telling me what to do.

sitting on the painting and telling me what to do.

Next Spittifer sat in the healing bowl.

Scratching in the Nepalese healing bowl

While they slept I painted…….

On the drawing board, inky cats Inky boy cat chasing invisible butterflies the disappearing cat

Next comes butterflies in gouache and gold leave to sit upon.

Kittens are tired now. Directing artists is hard work!

Lazy kittens

About Jackie

I am an artist and writer. I live in a small house by the sea in Wales where I write, paint, walk and watch and dream of bears and whales. I love to read, have a wish for wings and prefer the company of animals to that of humans, though at times I can be quite friendly. I am learning how to work with wood engraving tools and hoping to show that you can teach an old dog new tricks.

    “While they slept I painted…….”

Have finished East of Sun West of Moon ..what a treat ! Transported back in time to my childhood ,when I spent too many hours with The brothers Grimm and Hans Christian Anderson …..I also liked the format ….pictures fab as always …..but less than your usual books ….which makes the mind paint pictures in the imagination ..something rapidly fading with todays multi media and vanishing libraries …you are a star Miss Morris please keep shining for the sake of my grandchildren yet to be born who will always have books and stories and flights of fancy ..thankyou
