Night thoughts

Dreaming boatIn frame, dream boatLast night I woke with this image in my mind’s eye. Some months ago I was given a frame that once housed a drawing by Gwen John. Last night’s dream and the frame have come together.

Meanwhile, here is a Jay-winged Cherry Thief.

Jay-winged cherry thief by Jackie Morris. Watercolour and gold leaf.

About Jackie

I am an artist and writer. I live in a small house by the sea in Wales where I write, paint, walk and watch and dream of bears and whales. I love to read, have a wish for wings and prefer the company of animals to that of humans, though at times I can be quite friendly. I am learning how to work with wood engraving tools and hoping to show that you can teach an old dog new tricks.

I saw your picture, of the cherry thief and my eyes were instantly drawn to my calendar, the month of June and two reclining cheetahs in a teacup by the ‘cherry’. I so hope they catch him!

  2. I’ve enjoyed all your posts, and each delight for the eyes gives me pause, a sigh, and feelings of contentment. So I’ll be giving you a Sunshine Award on my blog tomorrow. (I don’t really know what that means, but it’s meant as a compliment).
