Publication day: Little Evie in the Wild Wood.

Posted on July 29, 2013

On Thursday, because all books in the UK are published by tradition on this day of the week, Little Evie in the Wild Wood will be officially published.

Evie by Catherine

In order to give Indie bookshops in the UK a bit of a start on certain other companies Catherine has painted a sketch of Evie and the Wolf. To be entered in for the draw to win the wonderful, colourful creature pictured above you can buy a copy of Evie from any of the participating list below.

Copies are available from:

1. Solva Woollen Mill: A wonderful family run business, always complimented on their packing and customer service, with great coffee too. New website coming soon, and copies at the mill are ALWAYS signed by me. Catherine is visiting for the launch on 10th August so come along, or order your copy now for both Catherine and my signature on a book.

2. Number Seven, Dulverton: The perfect shop. Neither a gallery, nor a bookshop, this is a true emporium of delights run by amazing mother and daughter team. When I met them I felt I had stepped into a new story. They create magic, and are beautiful. Davina and Jan have sold Catherine’s books and prints and cards for years.

3. Seaways Bookshop: Fishguard: Whenever I go to this shop I always find something different and beautiful. This is what a good indie should be like.

4. The Book House Thame: Haven’t been here yet, but Catherine called in and said how lovely it is.

5. Blue Ginger Gallery: Go here when you are hungry. It is a feast for the body and the soul. I will be doing an event with Sue from Blue Ginger on 3rd of October so book up with her now to be sure of a place. She has a selection of my paintings and books.

6. Wenlock Books, Much Wenlock: I am heading to Much Wenlock to work with Wenlock books in the autumn, Saturday 5th October. Looks wonderful. Can’t wait to go there.

7 Fannie and the Fox: a gallery close to Catherine in Cornwall. Hoping to do an event, reading, with them in November.

If you are an indie bookshop, or gallery then contact Catherine Hyde if you wish to join in. There are less than 1000 books left now, so be quick. The draw will take place when the first print run is sold out.

    Hi Jackie,
I’m thrilled to learn of the August 10 book launch at Solva Woolen Mill. What time will that be? My husband & I are coming to visit St. Davids for a few days then & we would love to attend. We also hope to spend time walking the beautiful Land of the Gingers that you’ve shared over the years. Any advice on paths would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Book launch is 4 pm onwards. Catherine and I are talking at 4 about the book. For walks I would say definitely walk from St Justinians beside Ramsey Sound. Take a boat trip with Voyages of Discovery and also walk up through Lliethyr Farm towards Maes Y Mynydd. A large scale map should come in handy.
