Gosh Jackie you were so close to me. I’m just 2 hours north in Vancouver, BC, (not Vancouver Washington). I love Seattle. If you do have to come back I’d love to see you.

It was wonderful Margo. And I saw your books there too. University bookstore is amazing isn’t it. Just so huge. And Duane is great. And it was wonderful for me to sit and listen to Robin Hobb reading.

That would be just amazing. I was beside myself when I saw the bears. Could hardly breathe from excitement. To see them in the wild would be even better.

Jackie, I am so glad you enjoyed your trip to Seattle. I hope on your next visit you will have a little more time to yourself. I am sorry I couldn’t make it to Seattle to get to meet you, but perhaps next time. If you come in the summer and want to see wild bears up close you should come to my cottage at the beach. You have a standing invitation. The bears visit every day in the summer and from my porch they are so close it will take your breath away. I have lived here a dozen years and over tea at my kitchen table, have had the joy of watching generations of mothers with their babies. Last summer it was a young mother with twins and I am anxious for spring to see this year’s cubs. Your kittens are quite the artists in their own right.

I’m so pleased you went to Seattle as it’s a super place and the Pacific NW is so inspiring if you love the wilds and animals.

I think you may go back… maybe you’ll travel a little further to the icy north or out to the magical Olympic Mountains next time?
