This week has been one of the best working weeks I have had for month, slaving away at the ‘paperface’, ideas flowing, paint flowing AND finally got around to playing with ink. But all is best told with images:
Deciding which colour of gold to use with the hare painting.
Hare and owl are designs for the covers of a set of three notebooks. The circle of hares is waiting to be finished.
Meanwhile I have a deadline for completion of the notebooks and cards and also Something About a Bear, so I decided to finally get around to printing lino cuts as people are waiting for angel dogs and I finished cutting the polar bear months ago. Nothing like a pressing deadline to make me take off in a different direction. So shh…. don’t tell my publisher.
Printing with a book press is a bit like going to the gym ( as if I would know what that is like!)
