Walking with the little wolves.

Walking with the little wolves today. On the rock two peregrines were deep in conversation. They lifted as we came closer. I found a place in the shadow of the wind and lay in warm sun watching swallows and listening to the gorse and grass made a windsong.

About Jackie

I am an artist and writer. I live in a small house by the sea in Wales where I write, paint, walk and watch and dream of bears and whales. I love to read, have a wish for wings and prefer the company of animals to that of humans, though at times I can be quite friendly. I am learning how to work with wood engraving tools and hoping to show that you can teach an old dog new tricks.

  1. Do enjoy your furry companions. My dear Pepper suddenly started being ill and not eating and totally went downhill from being quite active in about 3 weeks. She was 13 y.o. but until mid March, you would never have guessed. We had to say goodbye on the 2nd April. I have great holes in my days without her keeping track of me through the day.

Loved the post about the wolves and ravens. and the thought of glass pens is very magical!

Bella is 13 or 14. As is Floss. I have many things making me realise I should spend more time with them, and give them more attention. We don’t have that much time left together I think. And I have been very lucky with my little wolves. Still miss my Maurice so much. They do leave such big holes, but wouldn’t be without the time spent with them.
