Working on cat book, with help from cats

Putting together Catwalk is a little like herding cats. So many images, so many cats, so many memories. It makes me smile, it makes me sad.

The cats, bless them, have been ‘helping’. I struggle with distractions, and blue sky and walking. Outside the studio the blackthorn blossom is filled with chiffchaff and movement. Inside my head is a little the same.

Meanwhile Spittifer the Bold came for an evening walk after supper, up the the high hill with the wide angled lens.

Loving the blue skies and the sunshine.

And loving the mouse skin shoe.

About Jackie

I am an artist and writer. I live in a small house by the sea in Wales where I write, paint, walk and watch and dream of bears and whales. I love to read, have a wish for wings and prefer the company of animals to that of humans, though at times I can be quite friendly. I am learning how to work with wood engraving tools and hoping to show that you can teach an old dog new tricks.

  1. Karin says:

that was just lovely. A book in itself just there. Such beauty… and scrolling down it made me giggle seeing Erin suddenly appear!

  2. What is it with cats and computers – mine often walks across the keyboard and leaves a comment, although I can’t understand it! And what beautiful camouflage your cat has for walking amongst the rocks and stones.

  3. Cat books always tempt me IF the cover shows a cat with attitude. So I hope your book has Spitfire interfering, spoiling or even challenging your work. The above pics are too gentle, perhaps, except for the predatory ramble across wild scenery. He’s got wonderful markings on his coat. Good luck and give him a free rein!
