Yesterday it was a day of post.
A dragon returned from America.
Some postcards came for Art in Action. I have put a few aside to be used as giveaways with the competition that is happening on facebook at The House of Golden Dreams.
Books arrived, the last of Singing to the Sun, by Vivian French, remaindered by Egmont. These will be for sale at Art in Action. I also have the last few hardbacks of Can You See a Little Bear.
An umbrella arrived, timely with so much rain. I blame Tamsin Abbott for this purchase as she placed in my mind the desire for such a creature. But it is rather bright and beautiful.
And an angel and a dragon flew into my mind’s eye. She has great and powerful wings. These are the kind of things we should be giving our young people. Great powerful wings to fly. Not a ball and chain of debt.

The dragons are for cover art for Robin Hobb’s Blood of Dragons, the final part in the Rainwilds books.
And how could I have forgotten, in the post also, the proofs for East of the Sun, West of the Moon with wonderful endorsements from two writers I so admire. This makes me feel like a real writer of proper books.
Here is a teasing snippet of the book, with wolf and silver bell.
In my mind is a boy who loves music and hares. Above my head, so many things pinned to the ceiling.

The last installment of the dragons has already been released in Dutch, but I’m trying to hold out until the English one with your beautiful cover
Still, I don’t get how we have the translation already, while the English version is months away.
Beautiful dragons.
the I Am Cat piece is stunning in the colors… gorgeous
amazing how many things you have going, they all look wonderful and i wish you the best with each. perhaps now that you have a gorgeous umbrella you will not need to use it much…. often works that way for me.
Those wings are so strong there’s a big story in them, your flight of dragons a delight, the snippet of the new book is intriguing and have ordered a signed copy of I am Cat for our feline muse Ariel, very excited about getting to see it in real life, thank you Jackie!
A boy who loves music and hares. . . does a tale hang thereby?
Yes. I thought I had caught it once, but it has changed shape and I need to go hunting again.
It will stop raining soon! Now you have an umbrella….
As always your work is amazing, the four dragons in flight are stunning.
so much to catch up on! i have neglected blogging and so my ‘blogging roundhouse’ too…i always have all kinds of internal fantasies in my head with your work!
