In March I was asked by the Shalom House Hospice Trust to produce a design for their Christmas card. The brief was very open and I sent them a few roughs. They chose this one, which was inspired by a long-held misunderstanding of the hymn, The Holly and the Ivy, "the holly bears a berry as red as any blood".I have always wondered what a holly bear would look like.
