"Ffion fed the chickens, collected warm speckled eggs and planted seeds in the garden"

Ffion loves the land and the animals and birds and flowers of the land. Ffion is the Welsh word for the foxgloves which grow tall through around the village all summer long.

  • Write a song or poem for Ffion in celebration of the land, of her feelings as she collects the eggs, and also of her reluctance to go with their mother into the sea when the selkie takes her son beneath the sea.
  • What does she feel as she waits for her twin and her mother on the moonlit beach as the waves crash against the shore?
