An auction

This auction is now closed.

I am often asked to donate things for raffles and auctions.Keep an eye out for when things come up. I am going to do a book as a prize for the Porthgain Rowing Club, but for now, this one is going out to a wider audience.

In the US edition of The Book of Birds I have drawn/sketched a memory of where Rob and I first began. I am auctioning this here, through this website. To bid simply leave a comment below, of the amount in £ sterling. Be aware that the bid will not appear until I action it, and I will only post bids of the highest value that come in when I check ( which will be infrequently depending on what is happening in life) The auction closes 48 hours after the last bid, but for the last couple of days I will get in touch with the highest bidders to see if they wish to continue. I hope this makes sense. The winning bidder will be contacted to make the donation then direct to the Rowing Club’s account. Below is a photo of the page of the book.

Last week the “Ask Penguin” podcast was released into the wild, so if you want to hear Rob ocassionaly get a word in edgeways go to the Ask Penguin Podcast via your fav provider. You will learn more about cuckoos than you might wish to know. I think you can also watch it on youtube so could see what I was up to, multitasking.

There is also a rather fine interview from the heart of Exmoor, Seven Fables, who combined with Point Reyes books to launch the book in UK and USA

The Rowing club is amazing. Clinker built Cornish Gigs. They are simply beautiful. So, simply leave your bid in a comment below and I will try hard to keep an eye on the proceedings, action bids as they come in. There is a reserve of £35, which is the cost of the book in UK.
